Simple DIY decorative matchbox craft with a Breakfast in Tiffany’s vibe. This one was a big hit at the Craft Exchange.
Craft Exchange
Way back in December of 2012, the Craft Exchange was born. Every 4 months since, then my little crafting squad creates hand-make crafts inspired by a different theme like Steampunk or Breakfast in Tiffany’s and send them to all the other members. Then we get to nerd out over techniques, tools, supplies, what went right, what went wrong. It’s loads of maker fun that feeds our creative side and you can catch up on all our Craft Exchange projects and maybe get some inspiration for your own – right here!

The Unexpected Benefit of Our Craft Exchange
When I started the craft exchange, I didn’t anticipate the added benefit of having the Princess Cupcake learn the art of the handmade so quickly. I started the craft exchange because I love to make things. But I also love to over-schedule myself, and somehow between...
Our third craft exchange
Earlier this year, I asked a group of wildly creative people if they'd like to get together for a craft exchange a few times a year. The premise is we each handmade a gift for the others in our group, not telling anyone what it is until the big reveal on "Craftmas."...
Make your own stamps
I'm so excited that our Craft Exchange is right around the corner again. I'm madly trying to squeeze in my craft project with getting ready to move, painting furniture and my little Princess Cupcake's many extra-curricular activities. I would LOVE to tell you what I...

Craft Exchange – the sequel
I had this crazy idea in December to create a Craft Exchange. Not craft like toilet paper rolls and paint and google eyes, but truly handmade gifts of the grown-up variety. And so by leap of faith, several of my friends (including one guy) agreed to play along with my...
Craft Exchange
One of my New Year's "resolutions" was to spend more time being creative. Crafting. Making stuff with my hands. Because that's my happy place. I got the crazy idea to ask 7 of my most inspiring crafty friends if they'd like to join me in this commitment to craft --...
Keep Calm and Craft On
If you know me, you'll be keenly aware of that I ALWAYS have my iPhone with me. It is my fifth appendage. Tease me if you must, I'm okay with that. You'll also note that said appendage is currently wrapped in a bright red gel skin that says, "Keep Calm and Carry On."...
