Y’all it is HOT. Summer is not here yet, but summer is totally here.
Good grief. Mama’s need a place for the kids to get their wiggles out and not get heatstroke, right?
So here’s a new option for you if you’re within the Plano bubble. Safari Run play park is opening this weekend in the Aldi shopping center at Parker and Coit (NE cornerish).
This play center is well-thought out to include conveniences for Mom or Dad: free wifi, coffee, leather chairs, tables, etc.
Did I mention air conditioning?
And the kids will love the large padded obstacle course climbing area, themed slides, running track.
There’s a separate miniature version for the bitties so they’re out of the way of the rougher big kids.
There’s also an arcade for the kids to test their skills, earn tickets and a store to redeem their earnings for toys. Because they always want more toys!
In the back, there’s an impressive party room to accommodate up to 45 people for birthdays and the like.
Future plans include seasonal camps and age-appropriate fitness programs. Some will even be for parents too!
Open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday – Friday (but may vary, verify before you go), it’s a great open play option for kids under 12 during these hot summer days. The cost is $10 per hour per child or $18 for 2 hours. (Membership options available too.) Weekends are reserved for parties and private events. Bring your socks, they’re going to need them in the play structures.
