The puggies received a surprise package from PetSmart — Yay! All opinions are my own.
Everyone likes a new outfit.
Even the puggies.
Especially the puggies.
Because the puggies know that when they get a new outfit, they get to try them on and sit pretty photos and treats.
After I get them dressed, it typically goes something like this…
Me: Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Please sit? Beaureguard SIT. Do you want this cookie or not? SIT. BENI SIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT. Good puggies! Stay, stay, stay. NOOOOO don’t get up! SIIIIIIIIITTTTT.
Meanwhile, they’re creeping ever closer to me (and the cookie) and the neighbors are wondering what on earth I’m doing in the backyard.
Me: SIT! SIT! Okay, we can do this all day until you’re tired enough to sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. SIT.
One sits. Then the other thinks that he/she doesn’t want to be left out of getting a cookie. They both sit.
Quick click of my camera. They pop right back up with the agility of a kitten who’s just seen a cucumber.
Sigh. Then we do it all over again. It’s a process, pug photography is, but so worth the effort to show you these adorable holiday pet fashions from PetSmart.
I mean seriously. Check out this dapper dude in his collar and bow tie.
And they totally nailed Beni’s personality with this Martha Stewart Pets collar that says, “Mostly nice.” (Sorry it’s blurry, I’m having an issue with my lens!)
They were really excited about these red vest harnesses (also Martha Stewart Pets). They’re the perfect amount of coverage for walks in the slightly chill Dallas weather.
Pugs – at least our pugs – can’t use a regular collars for walks because much like their propensity to sit on command (ha ha), they do not have good walking etiquette and will nearly strangle themselves in order to pull you down the street. Yes, these sweet little nuggets.
Harnesses are a must. Cute harnesses are a bonus. These make them look like little elves!
Pugs are better at snuggling on the sofa so when they are inside chillaxin they can wear these cute bandanas and pretend they’re just home from the groomer.
The “Candy Cane Cutie,”
and the, “Santa Loves Me.”
My favorite from this special delivery, are these striped sweaters that say, “I <3 HUGS,” because everyone knows that pugs LOVE hugs!
These fit them perfectly on the undercarriage so that they can do their business without fear of getting their wardrobe, ahem, messy. These will keep the puggies cuddly warm this winter when the hubs decides to “save money” on the heating bill.
And since we know that Big Daddy REALLY likes to save money on the heating bill, my precious little Beni — who would rather her feet never touch the ground — will certainly learn to appreciate these festive socks.
Maybe.
Thank you PetSmart for helping our puggies be the most fashion-forward K9’s in the neighborhood, and for the extra toys that Santa will be leaving them under the tree on Christmas morning! If you still need to get your fur-family covered for the holidays, you can shop PetSmart for fun Christmas apparel like the puggies!
