LEGOLAND Discovery Center comped me and the Cupcake tickets to check out their new cafe. All opinions are my own.
Summer is hot.
Texas summer is h-e-double hockey sticks hot.
So we Texas Moms require indoor fun on the regular.
But not our home indoors, someone else’s indoors.
Where the kids can be cray-cray and not break our furniture, right?
And if we’re going to haul the kids across town to play at an awesome indoor play park, there are a few riders to our mom contract. One of those is the necessity of a decent beverage.
Moms (and Dads) get thirsty following their tiny humans from here to there at breakneck speed. We deserve the reward of a decent drink and the water fountain next to the restroom will NOT cut it.
That’s why I’m happy to say, Moms and Dads, that you can now add LEGOLAND Discovery Center to your short list of indoor play parks that serve STARBUCKS coffees and teas. Not just Starbucks in a thermal, they have the Frappacinos and lattes and much more. They also have healthy snacks, and pastries, and café-style seating to enjoy those delicious caffeinated bribes.
As if we get to sit for long?! But it’s close to the action in the main space so you can take a load off and still keep an eagle eye on your budding builder, or climber if they’re in the tower structure.
Let’s be real, we know mom needs a espresso or two to keep pace with the slippery castaways on Pirate Beach and the wizards flying high on Merlin’s Apprentice ride.
Summer is a great time to visit the DFW LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Grapevine Mills as the newly released 4-D movie is a cool treat (spoiler – it snows!) and the LEGO® Star Wars™ Miniland model display is definitely fun to check out.
Refuel your little brick masters with fresh, locally sourced sandwiches and salads from Grapevine’s Main Street Bread Baking Company before they hit the road on the Forest Ranger Pursuit.
Of course, they can build racers or free build throughout the space while you’re sipping on your latte in style. Or stroll through the amazing mini DFW builds. Recognize either of these places?
LEGOLAND hours are: Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. – last admission two hours prior to closing.
Tickets: Admission is $21 for guests 3 years of age and older, free for kids 2 and under.
And PPSSST. You might even get a sitter and join the ADULT nights at LEGOLAND. Check out their special events here! (You know you want to…)
