I have a sinking suspicion that our elf on a shelf Jewel may have followed me last night to the Jingle Mingle party at Gilleys.
Why do you ask? Well, Jingle Mingle (the name in and of itself was probably too inviting for a mischievious elf…) is an annual event to benefit the Dream Fund, and brings together 12 marketing, media, advertising, communication and creative organizations for an evening of live music, great food and… Santa. With his beautiful bright red Chevy convertible.
You’d think Jewel would have thought that her elf on a shelf status would be in jeopardy, by leaving her post and all to go spy on the big guy — but that’s our Jewel. Sneaking out of the house. Living on the elf edge…
But Santa wasn’t the only celebrity at the event. I met and posed for a photo with Miss Texas 2012 DaNae Couch. (I told her to please look fat in this photo next to me, clearly she doesn’t follow direction well…How she graduated from Baylor is a mystery to me.)
Which is why I think the Princess Cupcake found Jewel like this, this morning.
Clearly Jewel has aspirations more lofty than her seasonal gig at our house.
And well, Chintz. He was a good boy and stayed home and watched Bob the Builder.

Everyday should be a party, but that would be EXHAUSTING! I do like to plan for a big bash though. Here’s a few ways that we like to level up holidays and celebrations!
