“Mommy, was I good today?”
“Yes, baby. You were very good today — except when I had to start to count.”
(Big smile) “But I stopped jumping on you.”
“Yes, you did.”
“Were the puggies good today?”
“Uh, no. They were not good today. Jewel will have a lot to tell Santa about – like how they were trying to get into the trash can, and tried stealing your dinner off your plate, and ran outside when I opened the door. And don’t forget when Beneigt tried to make a nest out of mommy’s good sweater.”
“Yes, they were bad. I wonder what the elfs will do tonight?”
“I wonder…”
It seems that our elf on a shelf times two decided to blow off some steam after that big report Jewel had to make about the puggies — by making a zipline through our living room.
When the Princess Cupcake saw it, she said, “Look Mommy! They’re hang gliding!”
And she was very concerned that Daddy’s head my hit them as he walked though.
Luckily Daddy is very adept at avoiding ziplining elf on a shelf duos.

Everyday should be a party, but that would be EXHAUSTING! I do like to plan for a big bash though. Here’s a few ways that we like to level up holidays and celebrations!
