Last year I showed you the super easy glitter ornaments that the Cupcake made for some of the teachers at her school. They turned out SO pretty, and it was the perfect project for a preschooler to take on. I hinted at the end of the project that we would stock up this year for a repeat — and we did.
Here’s our evolved glitter ornaments 2.0.
We had a ton of the floor cleaner left from last year, and glitter is a staple in this house, so our costs were minimal. We got all the ornaments from Michaels at 1/2 off, rhinestone stickers also from Michaels at 1/2 off, I raided my ribbon box (sometimes is pays to be a craft supply hoarder), and the Cupcake’s favorite part — the addition of jingle bells. I found these pretty glittered jingle bells in pink, purple, green, blue at Hobby Lobby (also 1/2 off).
So each ornament has:
- glitter inside (see directions on how to get the glitter to stick inside the ornament)
- rhinestone sticker
- glitter jingle bell
- ribbon tie
She loved putting together the color combinations (sometimes now what I’d pick…) and I think they turned out beautiful. Since she can write now, I let her put her name on the back of each ornament in Sharpie marker.
A sweet gift that is easy for young and old to do.
