Guys, I am so excited about the new Crayola Experience coming to Plano! Not sure if I can wait until Spring of 2018, but I’ll try.
I had a little sneak peek of what’s in store – and it checked all my boxes: creativity, STEM, crafting after dark…
You heard me. This “experience” is for “kids” of ALL ages. DO YOU SEE THE WINE? WITH THE PAINT OR WAX OR WHATEVER IT IS? YAAAAS!
With 22 different “experiences” ranging from melted drip art (totally not doing that at my house),
to an interactive fashion show made from your drawings, and even a 4D touch art that brings your creations to life.
You’ll be able to name and wrap your own crayons too!
And, of course, there’s the world’s largest collection of Crayola products and unique souvenirs.
Speaking of which, not sure if you’ve even checked out the Crayola line lately, but they’re not just for kids.
Yep, they’ll have rooms for birthday parties, Girl Scout sleepovers — and I’m hoping we can live stream our craft exchange from there.
So keep an eye out at Willow Bend Mall where they are creating the build-out between the food court and Macy’s.
To tide you over until it’s open, they’re having famed muralist Cat Badger create a unique artscape across the facade. Check out her amazing work here.
Here’s the numbers: A typical family visit will last 3 – 4 hours to get through the 60,000 square foot experience. They’ll be open 365 days a year. Entry admission is $19.99 – but the annual pass is only $29.99 (so that’s a no brainer).
Yeah, I’m a little giddy about this one. Find out more about the Crayola Experience on their website here.
Thank you Crayola! I was invited to a media preview of the new facility which included lunch and a few sample items. All opinions are my own.
