Cinda Boomershine party at the Vintage House

Miss Nan just keeps ratcheting up the parties at the Vintage House. I mean, really. They’re going to have to rename the store to the “Pink Party House!”

Today’s soiree was extra special because designer Cinda Boomershine – otherwise known as my new best friend — came to visit. Oh yeah, and beyond being my most recent BFF, she makes these beautiful Cinda B bags, totes, handbags and accessories that are hipper than hip.Cinda B at Vintage House

And of course, she might just be the resident designer of that fun show called Movie and a Makeover on TBS. And a super mom. Which is why we’re so close. Us both being super moms and all.

Ha – let me just say that I’m kidding before she googles this and gets creeped out thinking I’m some weird groupie that needs a restraining order.

In all honesty, sarcasm aside, it was fun to meet this very real, down-to-earth, graciously sweet person who happens to share her amazing talent with us by making us all look pretty prettier. Just having known her for the 15 minutes of so that our paths crossed makes me adore her line of bags and accessories even more — because you always want the good guys to win, right? These “Proudly Made in the USA,” machine washable, fashion forward and durable bags, designed by someone you’d instantly want to claim as a friend, is a recipe for a winning brand. And she’s an SEC girl, so she’s got my seal of approval for life — or at least until Vanderbilt and LSU play in a national championship.

The Cinda B line is uber cute – they can even double as a vase. (Just when your husband said no more purses, right?!)

And who couldn’t be inspired by these fun patterns?! The Vintage House even went so far as to paint the accent wall behind the register the same Verde green in honor of her arrival. I dare say no one has EVER painted a wall in anticipation of a visit from me, that’s fo’ sure! Cinda B is like – handbag royalty.

Miss Nan just loves to roll out the red carpet full of big Texas hospitality so let me show you the rest of the par-tay before I bore you with the posed photos. You can bet Nan had a outdoor tent so large that people driving by on Beltline had to honk to say “hey.” Under that sparkling white tent was another gorgeous cake by C-Star Cakes and inspired by the Cinda B pattern Verde Bonita.

Cinda liked the cake.

It was crazy good tasty. So good in fact, I left after a scrumptious dive into the mashed potato bar to go decorate for Yes Day (don’t ask) at the Princess Cupcake’s school and came BACK just to get a piece. I mean, the Princess wanted a piece of cake so we came back…. 🙂

You know me, I couldn’t resist the photo opps. Poor Princess Cupcake just wanted her piece of Cinda B cake and definitely wanted NOT to pose for the paparazzi, but that’s the life of a Dallas mommy blogger’s kid I guess.

And here’s a photo of one of my besties Bianca and her adorable little girl…

Everyone who came to meet Cinda B was treated to a free envelope pouch or travel sleep mask (retail value $17). For real. (Win yours HERE! I’m giving one away!)

I picked a pouch in the Casablanca Sky Blue that I ah-dore and it will corral my receipts in my purse until it wears through – which based on the quality of the Cinda B line, is going to be a very, very, very, add one more very, long time.

Thanks Miss Nan and Cinda for a purse full of fun tonight!

  1. Thank you for this give away and your inspirational blog for moms. I found your blog from Pink House on FB and been following you and your FB posts. Because my husband is teacher and in summer has second job as teaching, we only go on local day trips. I am from Charleston SC and would love to visit my mother this summer, my father passed a year ago. We live in suburbs of NJ and wish a wonderful place and welcoming spirit like Pink House and tight community were here, Thank You.

    • Emelia – you’re so sweet! I wish you could come to a Pink House party but New Jersey is lovely too. I used to spend summers in Ocean City. <3
